Lies, Lies and More Lies

Where does it end?? The trial is over and still the grandstanding continues. Seems like David Hicks Australian Legal Adviser feels he didn't get his moment in the spotlight and is grabbing his chance before it's all over..

DAVID Hicks's Australian legal adviser has repeated claims that the confessed terrorist was tortured in US custody.

At an impromptu press conference at the Guantanamo air base before returning to Washington yesterday, David McLeod said "interrogators" would continue to see Hicks before he left Guantanamo.

"Steps were taken this morning to introduce David to the interrogators here at Guantanamo and there will be a process, which will unfold before he leaves, where he will be asked to co-operate in relation to a number of issues, but we don't see any problems," Mr McLeod told reporters.

Asked if he expected the format for the interviews of Hicks to be the same as before, Mr McLeod said: "Hopefully without the torture this time." Link

Give it up!! Hicks has finally admitted he was not tortured while at GITMO. We know he lied. If it was indeed the truth that he had been tortured and that he was innocent, why did he accept a plea?? After his legal team had held up his trial for 2 years with bullshit little appeals, why would they allow him to plead guilty to get it over with if he wasn't??

You can see my thoughts on this at Tanker Brothers.

McLeod needs to accept that Mori is likely to get all the best money deals out of this. He wa, after all, the biggest campagner for Hicks. Nevermind the fact that Hicks and his buddies shot at the men and women Mori is supposed to be loyal to. Mori played the media perfectly and now he could easily retire from the Marines on his little performance and start his own Legal Practise, no doubt making a fortune of Idiot Mungbean Leftists who find their treasonous acts land them in more hot water than they can handle.

This whole saga has been a disgusting display of justice gone wrong - Just not for David Hicks.
